About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Financial Consultant to join our Innovation Incentives team in Gurugram, India. As a Financial Consultant, you will be specialising in a unique area called Innovation Incentives where you will be responsible for assisting our clients (globally) in identifying and maximising their R&D tax credits. You will work closely within our team to help our clients’ finance and engineering teams to identify qualifying R&D activities and expenses, and prepare and file R&D tax credit claim calculations under the guidance and leadership of our team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients’ finance and engineering teams to identify and analyse qualifying costs associated with research activities and expenses
  • Prepare spreadsheets and documentation in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Review and analyse financial data, including balance sheets, income statements, and tax returns, to identify potential R&D tax credits
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather required information and answer any questions they may have
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Continuously stay up to date with changes in tax law and regulations related to R&D tax credits (with our full training and guidance)
  • Provide data analysis support for various global government incentives projects as needed

Required Experience and Skills (2-3 years)

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in finance and accounts, preferably in tax accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and logically
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • General knowledge of tax and accounting principles is a plus
  • Passion for learning new technology is also a plus
  • Previous experience with R&D tax credits will be a significant plus.
