Wellbeing is a top priority at Invenics. Since its inception, the founders have been clear in the message that innovation is possible only when employees are healthy, comfortable and feel safe in their workplace. The pandemic years increased awareness putting the spotlight on wellness. Invenics, along with the rest of the world shifted to virtual work mode and various initiatives were setup to support the physical and mental wellbeing of the employees. Many within the organisation came forward with ideas and took ownership to steer forward these initiatives.

Invenics Wellbeing ChapterThe ‘movement and mobility’ program was one such initiative, which was started by one of our Senior Manager, Sales who is also a fitness enthusiast. The objective of this programme is two-fold, it addresses sedentary lifestyle while providing a platform for a friendly corridor style banter. With packed calendars, ‘work-from-home’ setup and routine desk job activities, it often is a challenge to dedicate time for stretching and exercising regularly. The ‘movement and mobility’ program is conducted twice every week during lunch-hour and records impressive attendance from all Invenics offices across the UK, and India (Kochi & Gurgaon). Simple stretching, exercises during a one-hour session helps address incorrect posture, improves blood circulation, and prevents Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). The constant lively ‘non-work’ conversations create a relaxed atmosphere that offers the much-needed break to return to work with renewed energy.

Furthermore, there is ample opportunity to move away from screens and engage with people and nature. Annual events like the summer day-out, Christmas lunch and annual trekking events are organised and led by enthusiasts both in the UK and India. Employees from our local offices participate in good numbers where they explore the wonderful locales of UK and India. They challenge themselves physically and support each other to achieve the goals at scaling heights, orienteering etc. Excellent bonds are created during these expeditions that extend beyond the workplace.

Invenics addresses mental wellbeing of employees by setting time off for virtual coffees with the partners of the company, evening cricket sessions, monthly birthday celebrations and the occasional baby shower. Periodic sessions are conducted to address mental wellbeing by inviting experts to guide employees on stress management, cope with virtual work etc.
