Personal life & work role

1. Tell us something about yourself and your role at Invenics?

My Motto is straightforward, “ Be true towards your work and then let your work do the talking! Work until you don’t need an introduction”. I’m Indu Khurana, I’m working as a Manager in Digital SAP at Invenics carrying business and technical skills with more than 14 years of IT experience.

I’m a certified SAP Integration & Data management professional with architecture and delivery experience with wide-ranging technology projects primarily across Cloud and Digital technologies encompassing SAP PI, SAP Cloud Platform, SAP ECC system, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Data Intelligence. Some of my hobbies include swimming, music and horse riding.


2. Describe your typical day at Invenics.

My day starts with a ‘Daily Stand up’ (not so pleasant to hear! eh!. Not bad though 😊) wherein my team and I inform the scrum master about the status of the tasks we are working on and, yes ..boring part ends here!

My whole day is buzzing with technical discussions, designs and developments. My work starts from understanding the functional requirement from the stakeholders, holding discussions with Product owners and business analyst to deep dive into the ask and filter out the scope which could be mapped to actual implementation.

We work in Agile framework so it is vital to commit to right amount of work to customer and meet the delivery deadlines.

I’m also responsible for training the resources in SAP Data Intelligence core skills in Invenics’ Digital SAP Lab and get them up to speed with the technology.

3. How does Invenics help with your work life balance?

Invenics carries the torch proudly of being an employee friendly organization. I have been associated with the organisation from last two years now and there has been not even a single instance when I felt loss of support. I have worked for bigger brands in the IT industry but there is no match to ethos, values and work culture, I have experienced at Invenics.

Nature of work

1. Describe the kind of clients and/or teams (cross-functional or otherwise) do you work with?

I am leading a team at client site where my work revolves around data analysis, Data Onboarding, Data Migration, and Data transformation. My work starts from understanding the functional requirement from the stakeholders, holding discussions with Product owners and business analyst, development team to deep dive into the ask and filter out the scope which could be mapped to actual implementation. Besides, I develop data pipelines in SAP Data Intelligence and work on various objects in SAP HANA Database.

2. What keeps you motivated and/or challenges you at Invenics?

I have experienced a holistic growth in my career at Invenics. I have had the opportunity to work alongside some of the brilliant minds in the industry. With experience comes perspective and with guidance comes right direction. I have worked on RFPs (G-Cloud12 and DOS5) ,pre-sales which provided me deeper insights of business.

I got the opportunity to explore new Digital & Data solutions launched in the market by SAP which was a challenge in itself, sometimes really frustrating but it’s also very rewarding.

Career development aspects

1. What opportunities do you get here at Invenics for a brighter and better career?

Opportunities, Flexibility, Respect, healthy, supportive environment are the keys. You are heard and recognized for your hard work. I think I won’t ask for anything more than this at a workplace but you know there is more.

The new opportunities offered always pose a challenge and I need to push my limits to achieve them, however there is proper support and guidance all through the way from the leadership team to ensure that I come out with flying colours.

2. What new skills or knowledge did you acquire here since joining?

I am an SAP Digital Consultant with major experience in SAP Process integration and Cloud platforms. From last two years, at Invenics I have gained insights in Data lifecycle. With the right guidance, I have created a Data Capability Model which is foundation stone for all the implementation we do in SAP Data Intelligence and is followed as Bible.

I have explored and gained deep insights in creating data/workflow pipeline in SAP Data Intelligence. I have been also been awarded as Data Intelligence Featured Contributors Challenge 2021 twice.

I have contributed to the recruitment process to onboard fresh talent to the organisation and also in training the resource pool in technology as well as in their personality development.

1. How would you describe the overall work / office environment, colleagues, and culture at Invenics?

It’s like a refined bunch of professionals working together as a team. Irrespective of the role, everybody contributes to the development and growth of Invenics. There is something to learn from everybody .I get inspired by talent, sincerity and dedication of my team every day.

2. How would you describe the culture of leadership and management team?

The management and leadership team here take concern of your personal wellbeing and work-life balance. There are no restrictions to availing leaves and taking personal time-off, rather you’d see everyone going on annual leaves once a year. The company under the able leadership of its founders is well advanced in treating employees in the best manner possible. There are no complicated regulations in the overall hierarchy within the organisation, and everyone is free to connect with the leadership. The company is also mindful of maintaining a diverse balance while hiring its employees.

3. What are some of the company benefits which you enjoy the most – from perks, wellness, team activities etc.?

I am thrilled to work with a team of exceptionally talented people where we constantly learn from one another.
